Located in the North Cascades town of Winthrop, The Farm House Inn is a classic country farmhouse. The bed and breakfast style inn offers six rooms, each one a little different. The Inn is perfect for a romantic getaway, a family reunion or group stays of all kinds. The inviting living room has a wood-burning stove and is a wonderful place to hold group functions or to curl up with a good book. There is a common kitchenette with a microwave, toaster oven, a small refrigerator and cook top. The oversized hot tub accommodates about 10 and offers a view of Mount Gardner during the day and a zillion stars at night. There is also a garden patio, a great place for morning coffee or a group get together on warm summer nights.
All rooms feature air-conditioning, radio/alarm clock, ceiling fans, climate control, refrigerator, smoke detectors and a TV/VCR.<br><br> **This property requires a two-night minimum stay for all Friday and Saturday arrivals between 5/01/05-8/31/05.** |

| Area Attractions
Bordered by the majestic North Cascades National Park and the Pasayten Wilderness, with its multitude of wild flowers and abundant wildlife, Winthrop and the Methow Valley have something for everyone. With nearly 300 days of sun it is a perfect place for a getaway any time of year. Summer activities include rafting on the Methow River, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing (both lake and river), swimming in the lakes and rivers, birding (the Methow Valley has a significant population of migratory birds), and of course hiking the many miles of outstanding trails. Winter in the Methow is equally inviting. The Methow Valley Sport Trail System has nearly 200 km of trails groomed for both classic and skate skiing making it the second largest Nordic ski area in the US. Other wintertime activities include ice skating at the Winthrop ice rink, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, backcountry skiing; and birding (chickadees to wintering bald eagles). |

| Driving Directions
709 Highway 20, Winthrop, WA - Pangborn Memorial Airport: Depart the airport heading Northwest and make a slight left turn onto Grant Road and continue for 3.7 miles. Turn right onto WA-28 West and continue for 4.3 miles. Stay straight to go onto US-2/US-97 and continue to follow US-97 for 52.3 miles. Turn left onto WA-153 and continue for 30.7 miles. WA-153 becomes WA-20, which you will follow for 11.1 miles. Turn left to stay on WA-20 and continue until you reach the property. |
