Location. The Austin Airport Hotel & Suites in Del Valle, Texas, is located one-half mile from the Austin Bergstrom International Airport. Hearing live music in the famous Sixth Street area, visiting The University of Texas and relaxing on beautiful Lake Travis are all venues that are close to the hotel.
Hotel Features. The hotel features a sitting area in the hotel lobby, a seasonal outdoor pool and a fitness center. This hotel offers an outdoor patio and picnic area. A business center, banquet facility and meeting space are available to guests along with audiovisual equipment. Complimentary services include hot buffet breakfast. Complimentary airport shuttle services are available limited scheduled hours. Newspapers are available in the lobby. There are many local and chain dining venues located nearby.
Guestrooms. Approximately 112 guestrooms and 35 suites include a variety of bedding options to accommodate up to five or six guests per room. Guests can retire to comfortable bedding and a cup of coffee or tea from a convenient tea/coffeemaker, get acquainted with expanded cable television programs or access complimentary high-speed Internet. Select rooms feature a separate sitting area with armchairs and work desks, turndown service and complimentary bottled water. Microwave ovens are available upon request.
Expert Tip. Downtown Austin's Congress Ave. bridge over Town Lake is home to approximately 1.5 million bats, the largest urban bat colony in North America. One of Austin's most popular attractions, it can take as long as 45 minutes for the Mexican free-tailed bats to exit the bridge. Flights can be witnessed at sunset as early as March and last through late September/early October.
