Located between Sea Pines and Palmetto Dunes Plantations on the south end of the island, Shipyard Plantation bestows an environment abounding in beauty and activities. Although the smallest of the resort plantations, Shipyard proudly holds its own. Shipyard borders the Atlantic Ocean with 12 miles of sandy beaches. Bike paths are cloaked with tapestry of live oaks, tall pines, and spanish moss. A maze of lagoons and lakes beckon the fisherman as well as deer, egrets, herons, and alligators. Tee up at the Shipyard Golf Club or take a lesson at the Hilton Head Island School of Golf (located in Shipyard). For guests who love to play tennis, Shipyard Racquet Club has 20 courts. Guests can also enjoy an on-site outdoor pool, bicycle rentals for the bike trails that wind throughout the island, and concierge service. Some units have children's pools and barbecue grills. There is free parking for each unit out front.
These two- and three-bedroom villas come complete with all the amenities for guests' comfort and enjoyment. The villas are furnished with updated, beach-themed furniture, and have views of either the lagoon or golf course. Most of the villas have high-speed Internet access and all of the units have a private deck or patio. The fully equipped kitchens include a coffeemaker, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and stove. Each villa also has cable television, VCR, CD player, and telephone with voice mail. | Driving Directions
Guests must check in at the Sunset Rentals office, located at 12 New Orleans Road, Hilton Head, SC - From Savannah International Airport: Take I-95 north until Exit 8 (Highway 278) to Hilton Head Island. Cross the bridge and go approximately three miles. Take the Cross Island Expressway (toll $1.00). The expressway becomes Palmetto Bay Rd. Take a left at the first light onto Arrow Rd. and continue to the dead end. Turn left on New Orleans Rd. The office is number 12-B on the left-hand side. |
