The Old Fort Inn is a luxurious resort in a secluded, charming setting hidden away on 15 landscaped and wooded acres. A quiet road leads from the inn to pristine Kennebunkport beaches, the rugged Atlantic coast, and Dock Square, located in the center of Kennebunkport. No matter the season, spring, summer, autumn or winter, the Old Fort Inn affords visitors a welcoming atmosphere to unwind and relax. With its own private tennis court and heated outdoor swimming pool. A scrumptious buffet breakfast is served each morning in the relaxing comfort of the lodge area or the enclosed heated porch. Also, tempting refreshments are served in the afternoon on the enclosed porch. On-site amenities include an antique shop, laundry facilities, and a comfortable large sitting room with enormous beam weathered pine walls and a massive brick fireplace.
Each guest room, rich in nostalgic ambience, is located in a turn-of-the-century carriage house of red brick and local stone. With a meticulous eye for detail, guest rooms are tastefully decorated with divine wallcoverings and fine fabrics. Rooms are furnished with beautiful antiques and include four-poster and canopy beds with down comforters. Private baths, telephones, air conditioning, cable TV, and deluxe wet bar are featured in each room. Kennebunkport and Lower Village of Kennebunk are nestled between the Kennebunk River and the ocean. Picturesque Dock Square has inspired many a vistor with its magnificent flowers in the spring and fall and its fir trees decorated with lobster buoys and lights for Christmas Prelude. Kennebunkport also offers plenty of recreational opportunities. Enjoy hiking, biking, deep-sea fishing, horseback riding, golf, skiing, and snowmobiling or take a whale-watching cruise in the same vacation village where President George W. Bush's family's compound is located.
