Location. Positioned in Evanston, Ill., a northern suburb of Chicago, the Hotel Orrington is one block from Northwestern University and three blocks from the Lake Michigan waterfront. The hotel property has recently has undergone a $34 million renovation, transforming this historic building into an urban oasis of sophistication and charm. Surrounded by a host of shopping boutiques and restaurants.
Hotel Features. The Hotel Orrington lobby boasts leather sitting areas and a lounge with flat-screen televisions and Indigo-velvet high-backed chairs, brown velvet couches and marble tables. Several noteworthy decorative treatments balance the hotel's décor, including unique pottery and a dramatic mosaic near the entryway, while ornate ceilings and a regal staircase accent the grand ballroom and flexible meeting spaces. The hotel's first floor showcases fine dining at Narra, chef Jacky Pluton's steakhouse creation, while the INDIGO Bar and Lounge offers a complement of cocktails and appetizers with live entertainment. Chic Globe Cafe and Bar's menu features the best in classic regional American ingredients serving three meals daily. Twenty-four-hour hotel amenities include a private access fitness facility with cardiovascular and strength training equipment, and a self- serve business center.
Guestrooms. The Hotel Orrington's guestrooms are decorated in ultra-modern design and contemporary furniture arrangements with chrome punctuation and touches of ebony. Bathrooms contain marble vanities and include designer. Guestrooms feature pillowtop mattresses, down duvets and pillows, retro-inspired chairs and ottomans, and oversized desks with a computer keyboard and an optical mouse.
