Etched into the wild undulating hills on Maui's fertile east coast, the Hotel Hana-Maui is a ranch-style property, where horses graze and travelers escape the pressures of contemporary living. Positioned on 66 tropical acres, this Hawaiian hotel overlooks Hana Bay on the eastern side of Maui's Haleakala Mountain. Nature enthusiasts travel from around the world to celebrate the ecological splendor that surrounds the hotel, and the rare opportunities that are available in this coastal region of Hawaii.
Hotel Features. Opened in 1947, the Hotel Hana Maui introduces their privileged guests to an enchanting world of outdoor activities such as open-air yoga, aqua-aerobics, garden walks and lei making. Located only one block from Hamoa Beach, this remote luxury property also affords their guests with opportunities for snorkeling and horseback riding on the beach. Although the hotel's food and beverage service could be improved upon, their onsite spa services are praised by guests, who appreciate ocean views from each of the nine treatment rooms.
Guestrooms.A compliment to Maui's isolated natural beauty, the Hotel Hana Maui's plantation- style cottages reciprocate the same earthy qualities that make the Hawaiian islands so visually compelling. Carefully positioned on a grassy bluff that overlooks the soothing Pacific, these guest cottages feature hardwood floors, private lanais and contemporary eastern décor. Guestroom level amenities include complimentary bottled water, bathrobes, refrigerators and coffeemakers.
Expert Tip. Travelers should consider bringing some food of their own to this resort, as the hotel's food is expensive and unusually mediocre. There are several places that sell fresh pineapples and banana bread, two of the area's most acclaimed foods.
Resort Credit Promotion:
Guests who book Sea Ranch Cottages only between April 13-May 31, 2006 for travel from June 1 - 30, 2006 receive a $200 resort credit, per room, per stay. Resort credit will be applied at check-out to any charges in excess of room rates or package costs. Credit can not be applied to gratuities or taxes. This credit is valid for the spa, hotel shops and dining. Included is a daily full American breakfast for two in Ka'uiki restaurant. Room service is not included. This offer is good for new bookings, only, and require a four-night minimum stay. Hana Hideaway, Heavenly Hana, Stay 6/Pay 5 Stays also qualify.
Maintenance Advisory:
Preventive maintenance is scheduled at the Hotel Hana-Maui and Honua Spa on the following dates: 6/19/06 - 6/24/06 for selected Sea Ranch Cottages for pest tenting; and 6/19/06 - 6/30/06 for refinishing the floors of the Wellness Center. The Wellness Center cardiovascular equipment will be moved to the Garden Pool Pavilion; hours of operation will remain the same |

Exit out of the airport onto Keolani Place.
Turn left on Haleakala Hwy /Hwy 37, go one mile.
Turn left on Hwy 36, which becomes the Hana Hwy.
