The Puri Bagus Candidasa beachfront hotel is located on the easternmost resort area of Candidasa. The village of Tenganan, the walled-in home to the Balinese Aga Community, often named the original Balinese, is just a few minutes' drive from the hotel. The regency of Karangasem, where Candidasa is located, is home to many tourist attractions, including the historic Water Palace of Tirtagangga and Tulamben, the diving site of the USS Liberty, sunk during the World War II. Natural landscapes are a source of artistic inspiration and the nearby village of Sidemen was much vaunted by German painter-musician Walter Spies.

Geringsing Restaurant, an open-air restaurant with spectacular views of the crystal-clear blue water of the Indian Ocean, specializes in traditional island cuisine. Wine, cocktails and the freshest catch-of-the-day are served at Hasta Putra Seafood Grill and Bar.
Puri Bagus Candidasa is built in traditional Balinese style and features 47 well-appointed villas. Touches of Bali are reflected in the wood furniture. A secluded in- room sitting area offers privacy and the open terraces bring views of the carefully-landscaped gardens.
